Hi there! I’m Lara (say it like Sarah). I’m a Detroit native, but have been soaking up the gorgeous South Florida sunshine since 2014. I’ve been so fortunate to continue to serve both Florida and Michigan equally these last few years.
I’m an old soul: a lot of my friends joke that I’m 30 going on 90. I love old movies, crossword puzzles, eclectic granny decor, jazz, pop, rap, gospel, and everything in between. I consume copious amounts of tea, coffee, scones, and Harry Potter.
If I have the honor of photographing your wedding, know that I pour my heart and my soul into the weddings that I get to document. These are precious moments and I love that I get to be the one to tell those stories. I’ll be there for you from the moment that you type out that inquiry email, to delivering your full gallery, to shipping your fine-art album.

I love traveling the world with my favorite travel buddy, my husband, Nate. We got married a few years back and going through that process of being a bride myself gave me a fresh perspective on the art of documenting a wedding day. I firmly believe that photography should be an adventure, and not a stuffy photoshoot.
My dad was a photographer so I picked up photography pretty quickly from a young age. I always enjoyed capturing people the most, even as a kid. Being around happy people celebrating happy times is one of the most rewarding ways to spend time — I am truly grateful every day that I get to professionally do the thing that I am most passionate about!
My mom also inspired and encouraged me to start my business. In 2022, she had a sudden massive stroke that’s left her paralyzed and brain-damaged. As a result of that, I’m very passionate about stroke awareness, accessibility access for wheelchair users, and the care home & nursing industry as I navigate her intensive care every day.
