July 2018
Man, I could go on and on about Kelley & Olushola. I only just met them last year, in 2017, when I did their engagement photos, but I quickly realized just how happy they not only make each other, but everyone around them. Their smiles are both so infectious and they have these pure hearts of gold — you know, the type of people you feel you’ve known your whole life (but in reality you’ve only just met). I hope to continue a friendship and relationship with these two for years to come <3
Onto their wedding — the day started at a local hotel, with the skies looking very glum and the rain coming and going lightly throughout the previous night and into the morning. After hair and makeup (provided by the talented Ashley Tolliver, Jacqlyn Ford, and Charnelle Williams), we then headed over to the church, where Kelley got dressed and the ceremony took place. The ceremony itself was so beautiful and interesting — they combined their faith sects and had a methodist minister and a catholic priest each deliver their own sermon and homily to bless the ceremony. After the ceremony, the rain had cleared enough that we took fun photos on the church grounds and then headed to the reception for a P-A-R-T-Y. And what a party it was! A hilarious garter take-off by the groom, one of the best maid-of-honor speeches I’ve ever heard, drinks were flowing and the food was delicious — and the DJ had some of the best tunes and mixing to keep the party going late. It was a whirlwind of a day but truly SO Kelley and Olushola. Enjoy!
