The Evans Family

7.30.17

It’s a hot, sticky summer day in July, a thunderstorm is threatening to unleash itself at any moment, and I’m chasing around two little ones in a park in Boca Raton. Flashback to a few weeks previous and Zack called me up, wanting to get some family photos done. He hadn’t had them done since Charley was a baby, and now Charley was about to enter Pre-K and has a baby brother, Ethan! I was more than happy to oblige. Zack wasn’t familiar with Documentary Family Photography (my style of family sessions), but after a brief explanation, he was totally on board. Zack didn’t want a home session, so we started brainstorming activities and ideas of things we could do (of course, all based around things that he and his family actually do together). When he told me that he has an annual pass to Morikami Japanese Gardens and Museum and that they go as a family a few times a month, I thought, what a great spot to start! And can you think of a better way to cool off after a long afternoon of park-ing than by heading to the Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream Bar?! I’m hoping to catch up with the Evans family again next year so we can have another day out and about…one year on…
